A native of Fort Collins, Colorado, Samantha has had a passion for the performing arts and opera since a young age and made it one of her goals in life to share this passion with others, especially children and people who would not otherwise be exposed to the art form.
Samantha is a 2010 graduate of the DePaul School of Music in Chicago with a Masters in Vocal Performance. She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Classical Vocal Performance and a Performance Certificate from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. She has performed with the Narnia Music Festival, International Lyric Academy in Viterbo, Italy, Musica nella Marche in Urbania, Italy, DePaul Opera Theater, VOICExperience, Songfest, the International Institute of Vocal Arts in Chiari, Italy, University of Wyoming Opera Theater, and New West Productions. Locally Samantha has performed with Town Hall Arts Center, the Union Colony Dinner Theatre, Emerald City Opera, Opera Colorado, Opera Fort Collins, Pop Up Theatre, Fort Collins Childrens Theater and the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse.
In addition to performing onstage Samantha has a vast background in technical theatre and has toured nationally as a stage manager and technical director. Samantha is a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota International Women’s Music Fraternity and recently sang at the 46th National Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. In her spare time when not performing, Samantha enjoys spending time gardening and outdoors with her husband, George Lemmon and their french bulldog chihuahua mix, Leonard Bernstein.
